WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Service Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of mid-size service projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the defined scope and customer expectations. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, third-party vendors, and customers to manage project milestones, communicate status, mitigate risks, and resolve issues.
Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned service projects, the Service Project Manager ensures that all operational, technical, and financial aspects are managed efficiently from initiation through closure. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead project manager for assigned service projects, ensuring effective coordination across internal departments, subcontractors, and customers.
- Review project scope, SOW, and contracts to establish project timelines, resource needs, and cost estimates.
- Plan and manage project schedules, resource assignments, and task tracking to meet deadlines and service level commitments.
- Facilitate internal and external project meetings, including project kickoffs, status check-ins, and closeout meetings.
- Maintain professional, timely communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or roadblocks, and take proactive measures to ensure successful outcomes.
- Coordinate technician scheduling and service delivery logistics.
- Manage and document project changes (scope, cost, schedule) through formal change order processes.
- Ensure all documentation, including service tickets, correspondence, and reporting, is accurate and stored in appropriate systems.
- Deliver regular project status reports to customers and internal leadership.
- Support customer satisfaction and loyalty by driving high-quality service experiences and resolving project-related issues.
- Partner with Finance and Operations teams to ensure accurate billing and financial tracking of each project.
- Continuously look for ways to streamline processes, improve communication, and enhance project outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as required to ensure project and team success.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience managing service or technical projects with multiple stakeholders and moving parts.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and customer-focused demeanor with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Familiarity with project tracking tools and service management systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project management, service coordination, or related roles.
Nice-To-Haves:
- Experience in AV, video conferencing, digital signage, or IT/networking environments.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
- PMP and/or ITIL certification (or working toward certification).
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or similar systems.
- Ability to travel as required for project needs or customer engagement.
