What you’ll do 

Our Service Management Accountant will be responsible for ownership of the 3 Service P&L within AVI-SPL UK and AVI-SPL Ireland respectively – Reviewing Department 48 and providing guidance and training as required.

Also, Business Partnering the UK&I Service Director and key Service Managers, Dealing with service-related queries, Collaborate with the management and leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and Discussing monthly reports and answering queries to ensure full financial comprehension

You will be a pivotal role within our finance function. You will work for our UK business but will at various levels interact with Global teams both within our internal business and our external partners.

 

Day-To-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and Present monthly Profit & Loss Accounts for each Service Department in UK and Ireland to the Senior Service Management Team each month.
  • Monitor financial performance across key areas, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic plan, and analyse trends to support structural and operational reviews.
  • Ensure financial implications for new and existing contracts are understood and adhered to, providing ad hoc analysis and developing business cases to communicate financial impacts.
  • Forecasting of the Service Revenue using ‘live’ contract data for UK and Ireland.
  • Work on the Service Budgets (AOP) Revenue & COGS during the budget preparation period.
  • Provide guidance on intercompany allocation throughout service as required for all regions.
  • Working closely with Service Managers to ensure revenues and costs are captured and matched accurately.
  • Reconciling Prepayments, Deferred Revenue, Unbilled Revenue & Accruals on Service Contracts to the Balance Sheet. Also, provide training and support for these reconciliation in department 48.
  • Completing Analysis of Renewals on a monthly Basis. Working with delivery managers to understand the probability of these renewals for accurate reporting.
  • Raise customer invoices on projects matching to customer purchase orders and internal sales registration documents when required. Also, provide training and support for colleagues on raising service-related invoices.
  • Monitor service-related orders on salesforce that they are being processed as per the rules and guidelines of the company.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis – Service Dashboard for UK and Ireland (Service Attach, Margin reports, Month-on-Month Variance, Detailed Revenue Analysis, Renewal Analysis, Utilisation Report, Actual vs Forecast vs Budget Variance Analysis)
  • Ad Hoc Accounts Receivable support as needed.
